Well we parlayed our misfortune into quite the day of empathy and adventure. Never seen so many hardened Los Angelinos tripping over themselves to help the poor, middle aged ashules, who had to layover in the god-forsaken, barren wasteland that is the 84 degree sunny beach clime of Manhattan Beach, CA. The Venice Beach clothing vendor gave Shinny over $45 off on clothes he bought, and we just got Free International upgrade certificates from United for the next time we take a 3 week vacation!
After kicking us to the curb at 1:30am last night, we tried to rejuvenate ourselveves at the Radisson LAX, so we could make the most of the circumstances. Ended up having a great day of walking and peddaling on beach bike cruisers from Venice to Manhattan to Hermosa and Redondo Beach
, and even rented a rather afeminate convertable car, to tool around in. Made a lot of friends, had some epic food, and are back at the International red carpet lounge, hoping not to relive yesterday. Keep your fingers crossed......
